10 ways to sleep better at night- give it a try

When we think about sleep, the quantity is not the only fact, the sleeping quality matters a lot. People should sleep not only lots of hours but also peaceful to live the best life.

How our days will pass depends on how well we sleep at night. If you can sleep well at night, you will feel energetic, refresh and productive all the day.

Make a sleep schedule:

To have a better sleep at night, the first thing you have to do is to fix the time you will sleep and you will wake. Maintain this time regularly. If you sleep every night at the same time and get up every morning at the same time, as your biological clock remains steady your body let you sleep better.

Workout:

If you exercise everyday in the morning, your body will function properly and you can sleep better. Make sure you do not exercise 4 hours to sleep.

Make some changes in your diet:

Avoid food and drinks that have caffeine such as; tea, coffee after 2 P.M. Ignore fast food totally. Have a light dinner and eat your dinner a few hours before going to bed.

Give up smoking:

Smokers do not feel relaxed after a full night sleep. So, if you want to have a sound sleep at night, you have to make a way to give up smoking. Otherwise you cannot live life to the fullest.

Turn off lights:

Keep your room as dark as possible. Small light from your cell phone or PC can hamper sound sleep.

Apply a proper pillow:

If your pillow is too thin or too thick, your head will feel uncomfortable. You cannot sleep well with an unsuitable pillow.

 

Take a shower:

For better sleep at night, you can take a shower in the evening. When you take shower, you will feel relaxed and cool.

Stay cool:

You should sleep between cool sheets; that creates a drop in body temperature. This drop helps the body to create melatonin which persuades sleep. But for finest rest, once you went to bed, the temperature should not be cold or hot, should be just right.

Listen to the story you already know:

Keep a list of audio book on your Smartphone. Listen to a bedtime story what you well know, it will not engage you and let you sleep. Soft music works well too.

Meditation:

Meditation and yoga works well to let you sleep better. May be you are taking some medicines that may be affecting your sleep. You can consult with doctor. You can also have some meditation to get a better result. It can also help you to live life to the fullest.
